2009 is the year that really gives life to the old saying- Survival of the fittest, elimination of the unfit. The hotels with bad management strategies were rooted out and went bankrupt. Restaurants which depended on the quantity of food rather than quality closed down in the last quarter of last year. Art galleries who do not care much of the quality of items that they display and the creativity of the artists that they sponsor also went bust last year. Commercial airliners that ignored traveler’s demands for better service and lesser flight cancellations were punished heavily last year. One may notice that those industries which put high regard on quality survived the damaging effects of the Recession.
Charter aircraft companies are the major survivors. Their sales grew much bigger in the past year. Many reported increased in travel destinations and increased costumer patronage. Many economists suggested that the increase in consumer patronage is brought about by the fact that these companies have better services and better facilities than the commercial airliners. New Flights Charter which is also the best jet charter company added more flight destinations and more planes on its fleet. While the Recession is dramatically reducing wealth, many consumers tend to patronize industries with a more local approach like New Flights Charter.
The Recession is not something we should celebrate. However, it is an opportunity to separate the bad apples from the good apples. Charter flights are some of the few survivors, and this only shows that they are the good apples in an industry that has long been filled with companies that do not care much about their customers and companies that disregarded service quality. Thanks to the Recession, we know who the good ones are.
