Learning while watching poker

highwinspokerI do not have much experience with playing poker yet. So far I have learned the mechanics and how to play. Basically what I have been doing is watching other people play in person and online. Poker is not an easy game at first. Like all games, especially card games, in order to be good at poker, you will need much practice and exposure. So whenever my cousins and other family members as well as friends play poker in person and online, I am always behind them trying to learn and absorb as much information as I can. I enjoy looking at their cards and trying to figure out the best hands I can come up with. Sometimes I pickup really great hands, sometimes I am unable to see any. Either way, I am training my brain to get used to seeing different hands and different combinations of cards. Good thing that my family and friends are happy to have me behind them while they play, because I really do learn a lot of techniques from them. Most of the time when my cousins are online, they play texas holdem poker and omaha poker which I also like to watch them play. I have not had lots of exposure to Omaha poker as yet, but it is the same variant as the texas holdem poker. I am sure that if I keep watching my family and friends play, I will definitely be as good as or even better than them. I am having a great time learning from them while I watch.
